makergear m2 e3d filament drive and ez removable fan duct
thingiverse
This model incorporates elements from RSilvers' filament drive design and takes inspiration from neousagi. Dovetail sides have been added to the drive, enabling easy removal of the hot end cover that slips onto the filament drive. The original 30mm fan duct posed difficulty when removing the e3d hot end; however, this updated design makes it as simple as unlatching the stock MakerGear hot end. Files are now available for v5 and v6 hot ends, and a new easily removable bed fan duct using a 40mm fan has been designed to save time and effort. The hinge pin on the duct fits into a groove on the 30mm cover, rotates down and snaps in place with detents. Some users have reported parts fitting tightly; therefore, it is crucial to follow instructions for sanding edges and faces of dovetails for smooth operation. Printed files require 220-grit sandpaper for a perfect finish and easy sliding action. Remember to remove support from the duct within the dovetail area after printing. A second revision of the bed cooling duct has been uploaded, centered on the heater block and providing more room for extruder wiring.
