MakerGear M2 18mm Inductive Prob Bracket for Auto Level
thingiverse
This is a simple mount for an 18mm OD inductive bed probe like this one: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B008FZC8F2. I was able to get this probe working with the Stock Borosilicate Glass build plate and the aluminum plate below on my MakerGear M2. Results may vary, and I take no responsibility for damage to printers or wasted money if you can't get it to work on your printer. Typical inductive probes only have a 4mm sense distance when used with steel and won't work with the Stock MakerGear M2 Glass. This larger probe has an 8mm sense distance when used with steel and works for me for auto bed leveling on my M2. This modification requires firmware modifications to enable the inductive probe as a Z endstop and to run the auto bed leveling routine. It also needs two resistors to create a 5V output using a voltage divider from the sensor to the control board. The resistor values depend on the supply voltage to the probe. In my 24V system, I used a 20kohm and a 5Kohm resistor to make approximately 4.8v. Watch Tom's Guide on auto bed leveling on Youtube: (Tom Sanladerer) search for 3D printing guides: Setting up auto bed tramming leveling tilt compensation! The "emmrev3_ridged_side_flat_for_zprobe.STL" file is from the MakerGear Github Repository at [https://github.com/MakerGear/M2/tree/master/Experimental Parts/Z Probe for auto-level], and I've included it here for convenience.
