Makergear bed clips for Wham Bam build plate
thingiverse
I designed these clips to complement my flexible build plate from Wham Bam Systems perfectly. They fit the M2 model seamlessly, but I'm uncertain about their compatibility with the M3 and other printers. If you can verify the fit for other models, please share your findings in the comments. https://whambamsystems.com/ The front clips securely hold the bed in place to prevent it from lifting when removing the build surface, yet still allow easy access to the heater bed by lifting from the rear. To install this system correctly, you must remove the top rubber angle bracket and adjust its height for optimal magnetic bed alignment. The rear clips are installed on top of the rear rubber brackets, facilitating precise alignment of the steel plate as it's dropped onto the magnetic bed. Leaving the rubber brackets intact keeps the bed stable and ensures a more universal fit. To drop down the build surface effortlessly, simply push the edge of the plate towards the back and center it between the clips before gently lowering it into place. I found this process to be relatively straightforward, but I aimed for ease of use even when seated in front of the printer without needing to glance up at it from above. When installing these clips, tighten them just until they make good contact. You'll feel a subtle shift from minimal resistance to slight effort as you tighten – stop there! Avoid over-tightening, as this can lead to issues down the line. After installing these clips, re-leveling your bed may be necessary. The stock screws work well for this task.
