To fit a MakerGear slide notch mount in your Drop In Paxtruder, use a small U-shaped acrylic wedge that's 3/16ths thick. Be sure to remove the covering if it's included, as it may cause issues with fitting. For assembly, begin by inserting the square end of the "Hot Head" into the extruder's back. Next, slide the retainer plate over the "Hot Head" and position it in the joint. Place the final layer of the Paxtruder on top of the U-shaped wedge, rotating it 90 degrees for a secure fit. Fasten the remaining screws, then insert the extra fill plug into the U-shaped joint. While this design has proven strong and reliable in use, be cautious as the acrylic can be fragile laterally across the U shape. Printing four of these components ensures spares if needed.
