I highly recommend printing this model with ABS and a high infill percentage to achieve optimal results. Unfortunately, my PLA version warped and melted when I attempted to print it at higher temperatures. To address these issues, I uploaded a revised version, v3, which incorporates several key changes, including the addition of a hole for an inductive auto bed leveling sensor and a modified fan duct geometry that eliminates the need for post-print trimming. As I'm running a unique configuration with my MakerFarm 8'' Prusa i3v printer, equipped with a Bulldog Lite extruder and Hexagon hotend, I've had to develop custom parts to meet my specific needs. In this case, I designed an X-Carriage mount that integrates the print fan for optimal PLA printing performance. The difference was nothing short of remarkable - my PLA prints showed significant improvements. However, I did encounter some minor issues during the print process. To facilitate easy installation and removal of the hotend, I had to carefully trim the end of the fan duct by a small amount. Fortunately, this modification is not reflected in the current model design. To achieve the best possible results with this print, I recommend using the following settings: Printer: MakerFarm Prusa i3v 8'' Rafts: None Supports: Yes Resolution: .2 mm Infill: 50% or higher Notes: Supporting this print while it's in progress can be a bit challenging. In my case, I had to secure the parts together with tape during printing to ensure successful completion. To achieve a more rigid and less bendy structure, I suggest increasing the infill percentage to at least 100%, if possible. For optimal results, use white 1.75mm PLA.
