Makerfarm Prusa i3v Cooling Fan
thingiverse
Fan for cooling your prints on Makerfarm Prusa i3v printers: It's an awesome way to keep your prints from getting too hot and damaged during the printing process. I just got mine, so I'm excited to give it a try and see how it works out. It comes with instructions, which are super important since it requires some hardware. You should check those for the full list of stuff you need. Oh yeah, there's been an update! On 06/01/15, they added an option for using an M5x30 bolt instead. And then again on 14/02/15, a shroud was added to help concentrate airflow around your prints even more. Instructions for Building It Printed this one in ABS plastic at a Makerfarm 8" Prusa i3v with the layer height set at 0.2mm. That's the printer and settings I used. Parts You Need: * Cooling Fan Base piece * Flange for cooling fan, it goes on top of base * A small fan that is around 40mm big - The extra 40mm fan from Makerfarm kit should work fine for this * M3x16 bolts (a total of 4 needed) and they do come with some extras in the kit * M3 nylon lock nuts to go with bolts, a bit extra too (in case you lose one) * A single m5 bolt, preferably one that is either 40mm or 30 mm long If for any reason the 40mm bolt isn't available, let me know and I'll help figure out a different model that you can use.
