MakerFarm Pegasus X Carriage Stiffener
thingiverse
I really love my MakerFarm printer, but even after tightening belts and making all necessary adjustments, I still experience a lingering echo in the X direction. My hunch was that the two screws holding the belt to the carriage were essentially acting as springs due to their single-point attachment. To resolve this issue, I created a small part designed specifically to tweak this mechanism. This component fits over the back of the carriage, replacing the first nut and requiring a slightly longer M3 screw. By doing so, it allows both ends of the belts' pivot point to be securely supported. The result is a noticeable reduction in the (small) amount of ringing I had left in my printer, but individual results may vary.
