Makerfarm Pegasus E3D Titan Mount (Customizable)
thingiverse
This is a E3D Titan mount for the Makerfarm Pegasus 3D Printer, which leaves ample room in front of the hotend to make installation of print fan designs much easier. Designed specifically for the Pegasus 8'' model with metal carriage, this mount may also work well on other versions - although that's not entirely certain. The design was created using OpenSCAD software, so it can be easily customized if you'd like to adjust the extruder position to suit your preferences. This mount pairs perfectly with the impressive Radial Fan Fang (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2175956). Unfortunately, the original Titan mount provided by Makerfarm didn't leave enough space in front of the hotend. Advantages: - Provides more room in front of the hotend to use a print fan - Easier access to the extruder gear - Easier access to the idler for loading and unloading filament - Utilizes all three screw holes on the metal mount, resulting in added stability Disadvantages: - Requires harder access to the idler tension screw - although it's not too difficult, and you shouldn't need to adjust it frequently. - The hotend may shift slightly towards the front of the printer, which could necessitate moving the Y endstop to regain the print area. Required parts: - 2 x 15 mm M5 screws (inserted into top holes of the X carriage from the front) - 1 x 10 mm M5 screw (mounted in the bottom hole of the X carriage from the back) - 2 x M5 lock nuts (positioned behind the top holes) - 1 x M5 nut (installed behind the extruder motor, with a nut trap designed to accommodate it)
