Makerfarm Non-Contact Z-Probe Bracket
thingiverse
This is a straightforward mount for a non-contact Z-probe that replaces the left-side, somewhat triangular, bracket on the X-Carriage. Update: As of 05/14/2015, I've added an adjustable feature to move the mounting section forward or backward to ensure a clear path for your left-hand X-motor. You can build it using a "DC 6-36V 300mA PNP NO 3-wire Tubular Capacitive Proximity Sensor Switch 1-10mm" from eBay, which cost me around $10. I created the model with an E3D Volcano featuring a 0.6mm nozzle, and I used some beautiful purple Faberdashery filament. To adjust the design for your specific needs, you can fine-tune settings like the diameter of your Z-probe to get the desired performance. By tweaking the "BracketPosition" parameter, you can move the mounting bracket forward or backward to clear any potential obstacles.
