MakerFarm i3v Z rod support Remix with Extruder Wire Holder and Tool Holder
thingiverse
This addition creates a groove to prevent the extruder wire harness from touching the threaded rod, along with holes for small tools used in the printer. I considered placing wire cutters in the back slot, but opted not to, as they might fall out and cause issues. The design begins with Printbus's modification of Kkessler's original version, which served as a starting point. To improve the print, I added holes for securing a wire tie if needed. Ears were also added to prevent the corners from lifting off the bed; users can disable these features by commenting out lines in the openscad file. I am contemplating further refinements, such as increasing back depth for accommodating a plastic cover over wires. Tall prints may experience issues with wire hits on the extruder if not carefully managed. A corrected version of these STL files has been uploaded.
