Update 8/7/2018 Minor updates are done to prepare reprinting and replacing while changing out M5 threaded rod to M8 Lead Screw. This one piece plastic version is of the Makerfarm i3v 10" X-Motor plate, and it's likely the same plate for the 8" & 12" versions. Test fits have been performed on spare v-slot 20x20 parts, fitting well without issues. A four-wheel version (rev26) and a three-wheel version (rev27) are available. The eccentric spacer holes are countersunk, so no washer is required where the lock nut attaches. Personally, a washer has been placed between the locknut & the plastic for extra protection. New wheels are waiting before changing this on my printer. My print time for four-wheel versions was 02:34:05 and used 1.75oz of PTEG plastic at .6 infill. Update 5/29/2015 Rev27 version. Further research has been conducted to optimize the design and use even less plastic by cutting the inside corners back, since only three wheels are being utilized. The original design was likely unnecessary due to this reduction in wheel count. Reprinting with this adjustment produced a very solid piece with reduced weight, requiring just 1.56oz of PTEG plastic at .6 infill and a print time of 02:23:47. Additionally, I replaced the support system on the four-wheel version as it was located too close to the center side. Instructions To use this design: - Print one of three provided parts or modify the openSCAD file (other STL files are referenced in the file) for personal customization. These three STL files include: i3v_X-MotorMount_NoEarsOrSupportInfill_rev26_repaired.stl i3v_X-MotorMount_WithEarsAndSupports_rev26_repaired.stl i3v_X-MotorMount_WithEarsNoSupports_rev26_repaired.stl - Cleanup supports under the motor mount. I utilized needle nose pliers, small wire cutters, a file & a Dremel tool. - Remove excess plastic from wheel holes manually using a 5/16" bit for the eccentric countersunk holes and 3/16" bit for M5 bolts.
