This mount is designed for Makerfarm I3v's that allow connection of a Diamond Hotend and Hexagon heat sinks in a Bowden format. The integral part cooling and bed sensors keep the design as compact as possible, making it ideal for tight spaces. I designed the mount using hexagons because they were readily available at home. Reprapme recommends E3d Heatsinks for optimal performance, but if you already have some hexagons like I did, this is a great option. This mount is compatible with both 1.75mm and 3mm diamond hotends, although the design was primarily developed for 3mm filament. I converted my existing 3mm hexagons to work with 1.75mm Bowden because working with 3mm filament can be challenging in this setup. I've shared all necessary parts except the Hexagon Heat sink and fan, which were not designed by me. The mount uses 3mm hex bolts and nuts that come with Makerfarm I3v printers, minimizing the number of required parts. However, please note that some printer capabilities may require adjustments to ensure proper fitment. If it's practical, I'll make changes as needed, but the design is still a work in progress and subject to updates. If you're planning to build this mount, be aware that hexagons can be tricky to work with in this configuration. Loosen the tiny hex bolt on the heat break to avoid breaking it when rotating into position. Be cautious not to apply too much pressure, as it's still possible to break the bolts even with care. To ensure a smooth build process, construct the entire assembly in one go and connect it to the V-rails afterwards. Use 3mm screws on the back of the plate to prevent the bolts from rubbing against the rails, and adjust the bottom idler pin to avoid catching. All parts except the part cooling fan were printed with a .4 nozzle at 300micron layer height and 60% infill in ABS. The cooling fan requires a 100 micron layer height for optimal performance.
