thingiverse
This update expresses gratitude to participants in the 3D Print Pavilion contest. Winners include UP!, Ultimaker, and Bukobot. The organizer hopes to make this event official at MakerFaire 2013. Comments or suggestions can be sent to Hive76.org. Congratulations were extended to Ultimaker for winning the 3D Printing Challenge. Donors included John Abella, Dave Durant, Johnny Russell, and others. Thanks went to the judges. A blog post about criteria and judges' scores is forthcoming at http://www.hive76.org/. A tree-printing challenge is launched by researchers at University of Pennsylvania. The best print of this file (any scale) by September 30th, 5 pm will win a cash prize. Present your print to the Hive76 booth in the 3D Printer Village. Siert from Ultimaker provided a more manifold version of the tree for better printing.
