Makerbot Ventilation Fan Mount

Makerbot Ventilation Fan Mount

For better air circulation while 3D printing with ABS filament, I purchased a 120mm computer fan (ThermalTake High Performance 120mm fan) and designed two brackets to hold it in place on the left side opening of my MakerBot. These brackets were easily printed and attached using the provided screws. The small ends of the brackets fit around the plywood. To power the fan, simply connect a spare power supply cable to its connector. For now, I have the fan blowing air out the window; however, I may add a duct in the future. This setup has greatly reduced headaches caused by ABS fumes. Check out this print on video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q8w2asyvB1U.
