I fell in love with the MakerBot angel from the moment I saw her adorable scan - that dress was absolutely divine! However, I felt she needed some additional features, so I decided to give her a face, more defined wings and remove that unsightly lump on her back. I didn't model my creation after their original picture; instead, I used my own vision to create an angelic face that seemed fitting for this beautiful being. I spent most of the time refining her design in MeshMixer, with some additional tweaks in Blender. Although I haven't printed her yet, I've carefully reviewed her model using Meshlab and I'm thrilled to report that she's spotless - a true masterpiece (two-manifold, no holes, one single component, according to the tool). I must admit, fpertl's praying hands were truly exceptional, so I borrowed them (scaling their dimensions to fit my needs) and gave them a fresh new look. My gratitude goes out to him for sharing his incredible work! In addition to this lovely angel, I've also created a larger version of her companion, as well as two smaller ones - one measuring just over 3 inches tall, while the other features a beautiful torus on its back, making it perfect for use as an ornament.
