MakerBot Spool/Balloon/Drinking Bird Lamp

This lamp is created using a MakerBot filament spool, a scanned balloon, a drinking bird, and a bottle lamp kit from Lowe's. The video demonstrating this process can be viewed at http://youtu.be/1xrD5MDS4wg. To replicate the project, print the balloon at maximum scale, 0% fill, and 3 shells before stopping at 96%. After removing it from the platform, drill a 1.5 inch hole in the base of the balloon. The MakerBot spool should be printed on its edge at maximum size, with a one-inch diameter hole drilled to accommodate the plug from Lowe's Bottle Lamp Kit #0042925. A 4.5 watt LED lamp #0477033 from Utilitech is used for illumination. The drinking bird, sourced from Amazon, complements the design. Follow the instructions and pictures provided with the bottle lamp kit for assembly.
