Makerbot Robot - weaponized & wider joints
thingiverse
I merged the expanded hip, knee, and ankle joints of the Maker Faire Robot remix from tuxcat with the firepower from steveweber314's remix. Check out these links for more information: http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:841695http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:454960 If you have a M3D Micro, Tiko or other super affordable 3D printer, this version is made just for you. It's perfect for those whose 3D printer can't print the tight tolerances of the original and the armed version. This will print smoothly on higher resolution printers, but the legs and arms will be slightly looser. The robot will sit perfectly, but might not stand on its own if printed on a better 3D printer. I added built-in supports for the hand gun, shoulder lasers and rear doors because several slicers add too much support or put it in the wrong place (inside the robot). I also added space to the rear door hinges so they can open instead of breaking off. Print with a raft, but don't add any supports. Print & trim the built-in supports, and you've got the start of your own robot army!
