Makerbot Replicator+ Build Plate Mount

Makerbot Replicator+ Build Plate Mount

I had some leftover glass shelving from a DVD shelf that was roughly the same size as the Makerbot Replicator+ build plate. I thought this could make a great build plate for my 3D printer. I wouldn't recommend using this setup unless you're extremely familiar with your printer's mechanics and electronics. The mounts are divided into various pieces that can be attached to the glass plate using strong adhesive. There are several alignment guides and nubs to help you position everything correctly. Since the glass plate is slightly taller than the Makerbot build plate, I had to set a z-offset to ensure proper printing. The z-offset sits on top of the right side of the upper block, where the z-axis switch is located. My glass plate required about 1mm of z-offset. To level off the build plate, the front mounts need to be adjusted by about 2mm to compensate for their slightly higher position. Update: I've fixed issues with V01 pieces d, g, and h.
