MAKERBOT REPLICATOR 2 SERVICE TRAY

This tray serves as a dependable work surface for servicing the Replicator 2 printer head. I discovered that constant disassembly of the front fan and heat sink put strain on the wires powering the fan, ultimately causing them to break and necessitating soldering repairs. This tray aims to resolve this issue by providing a stable platform for parts during maintenance. First, place the two arms in position. On either side of the printer head, insert the hook end of each arm over the first rail, situated between the drive belt and under the second rail. Twist the arm and press the rails into the slots. Secure the tray by carefully squeezing the pegs on the two arms into the holes on the sides of the tray, securing one side before moving to the other. This design was my initial attempt at addressing the problem, and while it may not be a refined solution, it functions effectively. Feel free to modify and improve upon this design.
