The Makerbot Replicator 2 suffers from a design flaw where its cables flex sharply until metal fatigue causes them to break. A modification/repair tackles this issue by adding a cable chain that limits the angle of flex, extending the lifespan of the cables. Additionally, a section of cables is replaced with ribbon cable designed for robotics. This thing includes brackets required for the fix and utilizes my previously published cable chain: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2561280 Purchased parts include cable ties, screws, connectors, and ribbon cable. These components were printed on a Taz 6 since the Makerbot was non-functional due to broken wires at the time.
