The bumper switch used as a mechanical endstop on the Makerbot Replicator 2 suddenly stopped functioning due to a broken limit switch. A small metal component that triggered the switch had snapped off, rendering it useless. In response, I engineered this replacement part, which securely attaches to the extruder and activates the bumper switch with ease.
