Makerbot Replicator 2 and 2X Adjustable Feet

To ensure a level and stable Makerbot Replicator 2/2X, it's time to put an end to any wobbling due to uneven work surfaces or old house syndrome. Utilize the included .stl file for an adjustable foot accepting an 8mm bolt, if you lack leftover Ikea bookshelf parts. To create this foot, use a 8mm x 40mm or longer bolt, heat its end and press it into the foot. This design is based on a mashup of my part and replacement feet from thing http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:219127. For different sized bolts, refer to the .scad file for modification directions. An updated .scad file was added for easier printing by importing the source object correctly. To implement this solution, print out (4) adjustable feet bases and (4) feet, requiring (4) 8mm x 40mm bolts, (4) 8mm nuts or (4) 8mm adjusters from an Ikea bookshelf or similar. If you have to make the feet, heat the bolt head and press into the foot, insert nuts in nut traps, and thread the bolts into the adjusters. Alternatively, if you already have feet, simply thread them into each adjuster. Finally, replace all four original feet with these custom ones, and adjust until the unit is level.
