Makerbot Mounting Bracket
thingiverse
Initially, I created a bracket for my control panel based on Revar's LCD controller available at http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2836. The photos to the left showcase the control panel and bracket combination. These brackets can be used to secure various panels or objects, front, side, or back of your bot. They are strong and simply hang on an open window. Included are 30-degree and 45-degree versions of the brackets, with the front face accommodating devices up to nearly 100mm wide. I utilized a pair of them, mounted at the edges for optimal stability. The outcome exceeded my expectations. Perhaps this design will inspire similar bracket creations. To use it, select an item to mount, print the brackets, drill mounting holes, and attach your panel, shelf, or tool holder. Enjoy!
