A novel filament driver is available for your Thing O Matic; it requires only a spring as an extra part. I used one from a Shimano derailleur but found it to be too powerful, causing obstruction. The included ball bearing is an original MakerBot product. If you print the driver, please share if it functions well and any improvements needed. Unfortunately, my order from 3D Printer Stuff contains subpar plastic, so I must wait for a replacement.
