Here's a video of it in action: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Rwvbkn8xL6A&feature=youtu.be I created a group for my LED lights and designs, if you like them, join the group to stay updated on new uploads. I plan on creating many more logos similar to this one. If you have any suggestions, let me know and I'll make it. This is an extruded Makerbot logo printed on my dual-extruder Rep 2 using a JPEG of the original logo traced in Solidworks. The design involved extruding and filleting the logo as its own STL file for dual extrusion. A plate was designed around the logo with holes for screws, saved as its own STL file, then a shell was created to enclose the plate and logo. The shell has aligned screw holes for fastening to the plate. The shell was printed in regular PLA black on my Rep 2, while the plate and logo were printed using Bendlay (link below), which is extremely translucent, allowing 91% of light to pass through. An RGB LED strip was wrapped around the inner shell and connected to an IR receiver for remote control.
