Makerbot Light Ring
thingiverse
To enhance illumination in Cupcake #379, I created an LED holder shaped as a light ring using a 3D printer. It employs 3 LEDs, 3 resistors, and derives power from the 5V used for optical limit switches (which were removed after one day). Follow these instructions: utilizing an STL file, process it through Blender or similar software, then skeinforge with "outside extruded first" unchecked in FILL. Drill LED holes with a 5mm drill, install the LEDs, wire them in parallel with each resistor in series, attach the light ring to extra 3mm screws, and plug it in for optimal lighting.
With this file you will be able to print Makerbot Light Ring with your 3D printer. Click on the button and save the file on your computer to work, edit or customize your design. You can also find more 3D designs for printers on Makerbot Light Ring.
