The power supply we selected featured a fan on its case's underside; thus, we drilled a hole in the makerbot 1280's base to optimize airflow. Moreover, we crafted feet for added support and improved air circulation. This modification also allowed the fan's blue LEDs to radiate from the bottom of the device, giving it an eerie glow. In regards to the additional components, photos are available in the Makerbot Flickr pool under Edagawa. The SketchUp source file is provided, although modifying the existing design might be simpler than creating a new one.
