Ensure proper feeding for your MakerBot by using this laser-cuttable feed spool, which makes the job easier. To assemble it, cut two sheets of 6mm ply, measure 300mm x 450mm (12" x 18"), and use 2 sheets to create the stand with wood glue and a nail gun if desired. Assemble the spool by gluing one end of internal splines and placing the other end when drying. Place your filament over splines, cover it with the side, and slip between stand supports. Attach 608 skate bearings, nuts, and washers to a 130mm long 8mm threaded rod or bolt, inserting it through the spool's center. Decorate your spool with colored sharpies if desired, and you're ready to feed your MakerBot!
