Makerbot Design Challenge- Aaron Gothard and Joey Bellamy

This design is a pencil holder for classmates to keep on their desk. It can hold pens, markers and scissors as well. This will help assist virtual learning by making school supplies more accessible. If they have to spend less time looking for supplies, they can be more productive overall. Unlike most other pencil holders, it is horizontal at a slight angle so it is easier to grab supplies but they won't fall out. We ran into issues with the pencils falling out and the walls not being thick enough. We solved this by making the walls thicker and tilting the body about 6 degrees backward. If I could redesign this, I would make it a square because the capacity of this holder could be greatly improved. 3D printing would make this design stronger because the stand and the cup can be printed as one piece instead of making 2 separate pieces and joining them together.
