thingiverse
The Makerbot 3D Scanner kit comprises a mount for a pico projector, webcam, and an optional iPhone/iPod. Visit the 3D Scanner wiki page (http://wiki.makerbot.com/3d-scanner) for more information on this scanner and its components. Note that it only includes the DXF file for lasercut parts; you still need nuts, bolts, and external hardware like a projector and webcam. For a complete kit, purchase from Makerbot store (http://store.makerbot.com/). To assemble, laser-cut the provided DXF using 5mm plywood (4.5-5.5mm suitable). You'll need 20 M3 nuts, 18 M3x16mm bolts, 2 M3x22mm bolts, 2 Threaded Tee Inserts (1/4-20), 1 Hex Bolt (1/4-20 x 3/8"), 1 washer (1/4" x 0.04"), and 1 Machine Screw (1/64 x 1/2"). If using a Pico 101, omit the 1/4-20 x 3/8" bolt; if using Pico Jr., skip the 1/64 x 1/2" machine screw. Assembly instructions are on the Cyclops wiki page, and all parts can be purchased from McMaster. Happy scanning!
