These clamps press firmly down on a 150mm deep Makerbot 2X printing surface to significantly minimize warping in large parts. Just add a 0.75 to 1 mm layer to the edge of your printed object, and attach these clips once this extra pad has completed its print cycle. A minute's pause will certainly help things. The clamps secure down on the outer edges of the part, thus reducing warping entirely. Once finished, you can snap off this additional padding in a jiffy - simply apply a brief burst of heat from a flame to conceal any jagged edges. These clips were sized specifically for my own Makerbot 2X Chinese copy model, but I trust they will also fit on many standard Makerbot aluminum print beds with minor adjustments needed only. To get the best possible results, print these parts in PLA at a 15% density and finish them off with 4 outer layer skin coats - trust me, you won't be sorry you took this step!
