The initial printing of the MakerBeams connector is still pending as it has not been printed yet. A scaling up of all models by 1.5 times is advised for immediate printing and usage. The 15x15mm scale is more suitable for current 3D printing technology, being both stronger and having a clearly formed slot. Erik de Bruijn attaches the profiles together using 3M nuts and bolts, and we anticipate seeing the outcome of this method. However, sanding or shaving may be needed on the finished product to ensure a proper fit, as I am yet to own a MakerBot or RepStrap for testing purposes.
