MakerBeam Launch Pad
thingiverse
I wanted to design a user-friendly and efficient launch pad for my model rockets, utilizing MakerBeam as a compact launch rail for my low-to-mid power rockets. It was essential for me to create the launch pad in such a way that it's easy to switch between rails or lower the rail to facilitate rocket loading. I've achieved this by employing drop nose pins to secure the rail to the stand, which can be quickly and easily removed to swap rails or the top pin can be taken out to pivot the rail down for loading a rocket. I opted for rail mounts compatible with both MakerBeam and MakerBeam XL. The clamp is centered around a light stand with a 35mm diameter. Additional Hardware: For the clamps: - 4x 15-20mm M6 Bolts - 4x M6 Nuts (Nyloc's were used) - 2x 5mm M3 Machine screws - 2x M3 Bolts (Nyloc's were used) - 2x 6mmx30mm or longer drop nose pins For the MakerBeam XL Rail: - 4x 5mm M3 Machine screws - 4x M3 Nuts (Square nuts were used) For the MakerBeam Rail: - 2x MakerBeam square headed bolts - 2x M3 thumb Nuts Printing: I printed with PETG. Layer height: 0.2mm Infill percentage: 20-40% Perimeters: 3 Some parts require support.
