MakerBeam Based PCB Stencil Jig
prusaprinters
This is a compact (150x200x28mm) jig for using PCB stencils to apply solder paste, or transparency sheets for applying a soldermask. It is not a full 4-axis machine created for high-volume production, but will handle skew, twist, and translation in x-y planes if you've patient and careful. If you're making your own PCBs for prototypes at home, you shouldn't have any issue with that. :-DI have an ANT style mini CNC mill, and I made a wooden cabinet for it with a UV curing station. I guessed at how much space I needed for UV curing before I had a jig, or had even designed this one. Needless to say, I only had 28mm of heigh to work with because in my mind that was enough room when I was building the cabinet. With that in mind, the primary design constraint here was that this needed to fit into a 28mm opening, needed to use MakerBeam extrusions (because I had a few on hand) and common parts you may have as well, or will be inexpensive for you to obtain. You'll need:M3 threaded rods. I picked up a few that were 300mm long, and only needed two.M3 Tap.6mm Aluminum Rods.A bunch of M3 hardware.6x 150mm MakerBeams4x 200mm MakerBeams
