Maker Wheel Precision Shims
thingiverse
These shims were created using Tinkercad and can be modified online at https://www.tinkercad.com/things/5sgQIUWQM9C. The purpose behind this project was to manufacture precise 3D printed shims for Mini V-Wheels (http://amzn.to/1OoR7po). The short set of shims is approximately 2mm tall and designed to fit between a bolt or nut as a precise shim. On the other hand, the taller set measures around 6.35mm or 0.25 inches and functions as an offset from a plate sandwiched between a plate and wheel to form a stanchion. Here are the print settings: - Printer: Da vinici - Rafts: No rafts - Supports: No supports - Resolution: 0.1 mm resolution - Infill: Use an infill of 90% or higher for optimal results. - Notes: To achieve precision prints, use the "slow" setting with a layer highlight of at least 100%.
