Maker Ultimate 3d Spool with Bearings
thingiverse
Simple Upgrade for Monoprice Ultimate 3d Spool. The stock spool won't fit 1kg spools due to its short length and can't handle regular spools smoothly because they're too heavy. Buy a set of 660z bearings and a 5-inch M8 or 5/16-inch hex bolt for the axle. Secure it with an acorn nut. This mod was inspired by a modified version I downloaded earlier, but I've lost track of its original creator. If you recognize this design, let me know! Print Settings: Printer: Monoprice Ultimate 3d Rafts: Yes Supports: Doesn't Matter Resolution: 0.3mm Infill: 10% Notes: I used supports during printing, but they clogged up a small part of the threads. It was easy to clean up, though - you might want to try printing vertically next time!
