As most owners of the Maker Select V2 have probably realized, the standard spool holder often proves too flimsy for larger filament rolls. This innovative design effectively lengthens the existing holder by approximately 2cm, providing ample space to accommodate even the largest rolls with ease. Its semi-rounded top surface minimizes friction against the roll, while a strategically placed key ensures the part remains securely in place at all times. Additionally, the flared bottom allows for a snug fit into the stock filament holder. To install this enhancement, begin by loosening the nut holding the original spool holder in place. Then, turn the stock holder over and carefully slide the printed part into the recessed groove from the side. Next, insert the key into the corresponding hole on the printed holder to secure it firmly.
