Maker Select v2 Side Spool Filament Guide

Maker Select v2 Side Spool Filament Guide

thingiverse

This is a straightforward filament guide for the Maker Select v2 designed to work seamlessly with the spool holder turned 180 degrees so that the spool rests on the right side. It attaches to the outer two of the four screws located in the top right corner, leaving the inner two available for a Z-brace mount. To secure it properly, you will likely need slightly longer screws. Although it's not as stable as it could be due to the horizontal support of the printer being slightly recessed from the side support, it functions adequately. Tip after further use: Inverting the spool (opposite of the picture above) so that it feeds from the bottom may help prevent filament from jumping off the side of the spool if the sides don't extend far enough past the filament. This isn't an issue in the picture since there is ample side-wall beyond the filament, but on a fresh spool it looked like it could be a problem during quick X-axis moves, especially as you ascend higher up the Z-axis.
