Maker Select upgraded Y carriage handle

<p>A simple handle to help prevent burning finger tips while moving the build plate.</p> <p>I saw there was a few handles available for the stock Y carriage but none for the upgraded Y carriages like the one I use, Gulf-coast robotics (the one with the trapezoidal cut outs)</p> <p>This handle snaps in place and requires no extra hardware, in the design i have posted it is removable so if you wanted to, you could remove it in between print jobs and use only as needed.</p> <p>I am including the .step file so if someone want they could alter the design to fit their needs.</p> <h3>Print Settings</h3> <p><strong>Printer:</strong></p> <p>Maker Select V2.1</p> <p class="detail-setting rafts"><strong>Rafts: </strong> <div><p>Doesn't Matter</p></div> <p><strong>Supports:</strong></p> <p>Yes</p> <p class="detail-setting resolution"><strong>Resolution: </strong> <div><p>0.1</p></div> <p><strong>Infill:</strong></p> <p>25%</p> <p><br/> <p class="detail-setting notes"><strong>Notes: </strong></p> </p><div><p>Works ok in PLA but if you are going to print with a higher temp build plate use ABS or PETG</p> 1.2mm walls or 3 wall count <p>Print with handle flat to build plate to minimize use of supports</p> <p>decrease supports to 10% or less in order to remove without breaking the latching lip</p> <h3>Post-Printing</h3> <p>Depending on how low your carriage plate is sitting you may need to file the bottom of the lower lip in order to clear the frame, may also require some filing to remove any support material left on the inside of the 3 mm gap</p> </div></p></p> Category: 3D Printer Accessories
