LEVELING FEET - MONOPRICE MAKER SELECT PLUS 3D PRINTER 1ST JAN 2018 With a severe incline on my basement floor, I knew I had to take action to level my Monoprice Maker Select Plus 3D printer. The traditional method of shimming the legs under the desk just wouldn't cut it - it was an eyesore that detracted from the overall appearance of the machine. I decided to take a different approach and design adjustable feet for the printer, giving me complete control over its leveling process. After purchasing 1/4"-20 x 2" long Coach (or carriage) screws in quantities of six and 1/4"-20 nuts in quantities of eighteen, I got to work modeling up the parts on Autodesk's Fusion 360. The specifications for the lag screw head diameter were 14.5mm, while the nuts measured 10.9 MM across their flats and 5.5 MM thick. With these details in mind, I assembled the parts and installed the foot assemblies on the printer, making it a breeze to level the machine.
