I purchased a line laser module from eBay to build a maker scanner. The project's documentation can be found at http://abarry.org/makerscanner/1-makerscanner.html. Initially, I aimed to construct a basic frame for the scanner and came across this design: http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:428178. However, upon closer inspection, I discovered that the laser mount wouldn't fit my setup, so I made some modifications. I adjusted the hole size to ensure compatibility with an 11mm diameter laser module. Furthermore, I added a slot and gouge to enhance the design's functionality. This modification allows for seamless integration with any laser of similar specifications: http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Red-Line-Laser-Module-Focus-Adjustable-Laser-Head-5V-Industrial-Grade-5mW-650nm-/400781449348?pt=AU_Business_Industrial_Industrial_Supply_MRO&hash=item5d506f9884.
