This part was designed for a 6" Prusa i3 from Maker Farm (www.makerfarm.com). The original kit's 40mm fan was aimed at preventing overheating of the extruder's upper section. However, it uncontrollably cooled the heated head and print object on the bed, causing warping. This cooling chamber specifically targets the upper extruder part for cooling while diverting airflow away from the print, directing it upward. The modification consists of three components: 1) The fan conduit (40x40mm), which connects the fan to the extruder, channels airflow towards the chamber, and secures the chamber in place; 2) The cooling chamber, which guides air from the fan to the heat-sink part of the extruder head, then exits through the front; 3) Chamber cover, eliminating the need for disassembling the extruder as it fits perfectly. It seals the chamber's gap. Assemble by printing all three parts (ABS at 0.1mm resolution, detail-friendly). Position the chamber cover behind the thinner extruder head part. Remove x carriage end-stop screws, slide in the cooling chamber while connecting it to the existing cover. Secure with end-stop screws once placed. Attach the fan and conductor using two longer screws (19mm/0.74in.) in upper holes, ensuring proper chamber retention via indentations. Finally, secure the remaining two screws.
