'Maker Clips'... Paper Clips / Mini Bookmarks for MakerBot users

thingiverse

Very smart but simple little paper clips designed with the MakerBot logo printed into them. Unlike metal paper clips, these flexible designs become springy when printed close to being solid, allowing them to bend to hold 1-15 standard copies of paper. A single sheet is sufficient for use as a miniature bookmark as well as a regular paper clip. 3D printing offers another alternative for everyday items like this one. With a high level of detail achieved through fine prints, it's recommended to print at least two of these designs per job so that the print has enough time to settle and harden between layers on some printers. Check out my other designs if you find yourself liking these flexible 3D printed paper clips. On a Replicator 2, printing with raft enabled works very well for producing these designs two at a time, using a standard resolution of 0.20mm (with three shells and an infill of 75%) ensures that the finished product is almost solid enough to be springy yet durable.
