Background Makelangelo is a wall-hanging, mural-drawing machine that brings your artistic visions to life. Atop its sturdy frame, two powerful motors sit poised on either side, their belts stretching down like lifelines to guide the pen's creative journey. To capture the entire wall in one majestic sweep, a diagonal belt must be deployed, spanning the width of the canvas from top to bottom. But this presents a challenge: if the pen were to drop all the way to the floor, it would be rendered useless. Problem The Makelangelo's attempt to find its home position is hindered by a critical flaw. As the machine reaches out with its pen holder to touch the limit switches, disaster strikes: the holder crashes to the floor, causing the belts to skip off their pulleys in a maddening dance. Solution Enter the bearing holder - a ingenious solution to this vexing problem. By cradling a roller skate bearing (8x22x7) and gently pinching it against the belt, this clever device prevents skipping and ensures that large machines can find their home position with ease. Simply print one for each bearing, attach them to the corners of your Makelangelo, and watch as your machine springs back to life.
