Make Your Own Platonic Octahedron To create a platonic octahedron, you will need six vertex connectors and twelve edges. When assembled, the structure will have eight equilateral triangle faces. The formula to verify this is V + F - E = 2. Among the Files: Vertex Connectors: Two levels of tolerance (regular and loose) Edge Bars: Various lengths Note: Before starting the project, print one connector and one edge to test the tolerance. A resolution of 0.2mm works well for me. You can adjust the tightness between the vertex connector and the edge by experimenting with different resolutions. As you build the octahedron, pay attention to the angles between the V-connector and edges. If necessary, bend the structure slightly to align the edges with the slots. A pair of pliers may come in handy for this step. When working on the project, keep in mind that octahedral edges are not interchangeable with those used in other platonic solids due to their distinct dihedral angles. Have Fun!
