Make Your Own Lego Block Remix With Large Lego

thingiverse

Don't just download, you need to use the thing app. Use Customizer to make your own size Lego block. Then you will get your stl files. The Lego can be standard size or a large variety. Three heights are available for you. Customizer is Available. You can make a max 15x15 dot Lego block. -- UPDATE -- June 27, 2020 Remix of https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2006468 added support for "Large" lego blocks because my kids would certainly eat the smaller legos, so we have large legos instead! XD In customizer, if "Large Lego's" is 1, you will end up with a large lego. If "Large Lego's" is 0, you will end up with the standard size of lego. Turns out that large legos are almost exactly twice the size of the smaller variety, so this wasn't too hard to modify! :) -- I printed my first large lego and there appears to be some issues with the fit. I'll probably modify the lego script a bit to enlarge the cylinders at the top, and the "bars" on the bottom inside. Making both these items slightly larger, and attempting to calculate at 0.2mm accuracy, where the "end" is. Long story short, increase the accuracy of your print and this should work fine. Otherwise you have to wait till I've modified it properly. -- UPDATE -- July 4, 2020 Added a new height at 4.8. Adjusted height of the "dots", increased size of top dots/cylinder, and bottom dots/cylinder(s). Increased size of "tabs". Tested large variety and it seems to grip nicely... at least with my printer/settings. Added the ability to adjust the "percentage size" of top cylinders and bottom cylinders so everyone can change the size without needing to adjust size of the whole model in the slicing software. -- UPDATE -- July 7, 2020 Seems there is a problem with the Customizer XD I'll have to play with the settings and try to get it working again. Also noticed my boys have a little trouble when pushing a lego onto the printed one. I've reduced the diameter of the top cylinders in response. -- UPDATE -- July 9, 2020 Looks like the problem is with the customizer on thingiverse website, and not the design. In the meantime, please use the openscad free open-source software at https://www.openscad.org/downloads.html to create STL files.
