Make-up Mirror Light

<p>My wife got a new make-up storage case, which had an oblong mirror. She asked if I could make it light up, so I designed and printed this.</p><p>There are two main parts a left hand and a right hand which are glued together to make the oblong ring which surrounds the mirror (it had to be done in two parts as the whole object wouldn't fit on the print bed).&nbsp;</p><p>12v 8mm self adhesive LED strip light was stuck into the troughs of the ring, wired together through the corners and then attached to a DC power jack (mine was 5.5 x 2.1mm jack to suit a spare 12v wall-wart PSU I had). To finish it, 2 of the short &amp; 2 of the long ‘lenses’ where printed in transparent filament and glued in the appropriate places over the LEDs.</p><p>Mirror is held in the middle with double sided tape on the 1mm thick flange on the inner sides of the light.</p><p>I printed everything in PETG. The parts that form the main body / ring need supports on the bed only to keep the interlocking fingers used to glue them together from sagging.</p><p>F360 file included for tinkering, as not everyone will have mirrors of the same dimension.</p>
