We have been working on lost PLA, starting with a scaled-down version of a robot. My colleague suggested adding a ring for jewelry or necklace purposes, which I implemented in Meshmixer. However, we encountered a self-intersection at the hands when using Skeinforge. The initial attempts to print this design in PLA resulted in a mushy blob for the keychain, so we opted for ABS while waiting for our PLA cooling fan upgrade. Further details and photos on casting will be shared soon, along with an updated model featuring the loop positioned sideways.
