Make:NYC Badge

This is Thing-a-Week #9, where previous things are available on our website at http://www.iheartrobotics.com/search/label/thing-a-week. This week's thing is a wearable badge that excels as a master of positive design for the Make:NYC Casting and Molding Lab. The badge can be found at http://www.makenyc.org/?p=81. The badge is engineered to guarantee success for beginners learning plastic resin casting, especially those using one part molds. Its 5 degree draft angle on surfaces ensures that parts are easily removed from the mold. A pin back can be attached to the back of the badge with glue, allowing it to be worn to local Maker Faire events at http://www.makerfaire.com/. Designs and positive masters for the badge are available for other Make:City Groups considering running a casting lab.
