Make It RC 1/12 Scale Roof Rack for RC Car and Truck
thingiverse
This is the roof rack that I'm using for my 1/12 scale 1972 Chevy Prerunner build. Check out the full project on YouTube at this playlist link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qmpR-BLqDcM&list=PL_C9a338X9XNPDtQkikr2Rt29hYTUveQI It's designed specifically for the Pro-Line 72 Chevy C10 body, but it will fit many other bodies too. You can use either a one-piece roof rack or a split roof rack with a flat surface - perfect for printing. The lights are made to be printed on an SLA printer, so you might find them tricky to print on a standard FDM printer. To complete the roof rack, you'll need: * Glue * 4 M1.6x5mm screws * Thin plastic for the lenses (less than 0.4mm thick cut to around 11mm in diameter) * 4 3mm LEDs for the light buckets * Wires for the LEDs You can see how I assembled and painted this roof rack in my video: (skip to 18:42) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0WvZfSTp3Q4
